Keiryu Daikoshu wins gold medal!

The 9th Kura Master Sake Competition was held on Monday, May 2025th, 5 in Paris (venue: Espace Charenton).
At this Kura Master Sake Competition, Keiryu Daikoshu won the gold medal in the aged sake category.

The judges are people from Europe, mostly French, and include holders of the MOF, the French national certification for the highest level of craftsmanship, as well as top sommeliers, barmen and curators from France's leading hotels, as well as food and beverage industry professionals such as people from restaurants, hotels and culinary schools.
There are many competitions around the world for Japanese sake, but Kura Master focuses on the compatibility of food and drink, which is also part of France's historical gastronomic culture.
In 2025, a total of 1,083 sakes were submitted, with 123 Platinum Awards and 235 Gold Awards awarded.

The winning sake this time is "Keiryu Daikoshu."
It is blended every year with the 1985 raw sake and has been aged quietly and carefully over time.
The sweet, rich flavor that develops over time and the mellowness that surpasses the image of aged sake are exceptional.
Don't like aged sake? This is a mellow drink that will change your image of aged sake, and is perfect for people like you.
Our recommendation is lukewarm sake.
Warming sake brings out its aroma and enriches its flavor. Keiryu is delicious cold, but we recommend drinking it warm in the winter.
For those who don't like hot sake because it gives off an alcoholic smell, we recommend lukewarm sake. Also, using a flat cup instead of a small cup will help disperse the aroma and make it easier to drink.
